Grandparents / Special Friends Fund FOR THE ARTS
The Sunnyside PTA invites you to support the 4th annual Grandparents / Special Friends Fund FOR THE ARTS, a dedicated fund that helps support the many art programs at our elementary school. We are asking Sunnyside grandparents and friends for tax deductible donations. Monies collected for the fund are divided equally among the K-5 classes, and support art programs in the 2013-14 school year.

- VISUAL ARTS: LEAP (www.leap4kids.org): students create visual art in the classroom
- DANCE AND MOVEMENT: Flyaway Productions (www.flyawayproductions.com): students create and perform original dances
- MUSIC: Singing, instrumental music, and production of an original opera
- POETRY: Poets in the Schools teaching artist Gail Newman
- ARTISTIC CELEBRATIONS: Student produce work for Dias De Los Muertos, Martin Luther King Jr.’s Birthday & the Lunar New Year
- LITERARY JOURNAL The Ray, our ANNUAL journal, featuring the art and writing of every child
