Aftercare

Sunnyside offers a single aftercare program to support families, operated by the YMCA. 

The program offers enrichments, academic support, structured physical activities, and free play.

The aftercare program runs from 2:40 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. with the following schedule

Subsidized Slots 

There are a limited number of subsidized slots for the Aftercare program. The requirement to be considered for a subsidized slot is a commitment that the child must attend the after-school program 5 days/week and stay until 5:45 p.m.
​Priority for subsidized slots will be given based on:
  • ​Students who are identified by the school’s administrative staff and teachers as potentially benefiting from academic support after school.
  • Annual household income​.
  •  ​Financial & demonstrated need.
  • There are no fees for students who are eilgible for free & reduced lunch.

Registration

Enrollment in the Sunnyside Aftercare program will continue on an ongoing, rolling basis until all slots are filled.

Sunnyside Before-care

The Mission YMCA operates its program for Sunnyside students before school from 7:30 - 8:40 a.m. All students enrolled in Aftercare may enroll to Before-care for a small additional monthly fee. Any student may opt to enroll in and pay for Before-care alone.
