​Sunnyside Elementary and SFUSD work hard to provide the best education possible for our children. However, we all know that public school budgets are limited. That’s where the PTA comes in—we fund a wide array of programs, resources and additional school staff. 

That’s where the PTA comes in—we fund a wide array of programs and resources. To provide these essentials, we raised $250,117 during the 2018-19 school year (about $563 per Sunnyside student). In 2019-2020 we’re trying to raise $279,800 (about $748 per student). Your employer may match your donation. Check the portal below to find out.

There are a variety of ways to support Sunnyside! Volunteering your time or donating needed resources are also valuable ways to contribute to the school's success!

Funding Drives

Annual Fund

​This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and contributes over 55% of the PTA budget. Every gift matters and all donations are fully tax-deductible. Our Annual Fund goal for the 2019-20 school year  is  to raise $155,000 during the month of October.

Events

Fall Fest: a carnival-style celebration with food, games, and raffle

Corporate Matching

​Many employers will match your donation to the PTA. Check the portal above or ask your company’s HR department to see if they have a matching gifts program. Please email ​ for assistance or questions.

Count-Me-Ins

​Count-Me-Ins (CMIs) are teacher- or parent-hosted events to build community and raise money for Sunnyside PTA. It’s a great way to get to know other families while helping raise funds.
