School Site Council

Each SFUSD school has an elected School Site Council (SSC) to represent parents, students, community members, and school staff in the school governance process.

Community elections take place in fall, so interested parents, teachers, or staff should try to attend one or more meetings prior to running.

Meetings

The Sunnyside SSC meets regularly to discuss a range of issues and provide ongoing input to the administration. Meetings are open to the public.

If you have further questions or would like more information please email us at [email protected].

Responsibilities

The SSC has a number of important responsibilities, including:
  • Reviewing and analyzing student achievement data
  • Gathering community input
  • Helping develop the Balanced Scorecard/Single Plan for Student
  • Achievement (BSC/SPSA) and the school site budget
  • Monitoring the implementation of the plan and budget
